Took my last walk down our Birney hallways with our 6th graders who are leaving for middle school. My heart is full for the 18 wonderful years @coltonjusd has given me. @alicebirney @lincolnelementarycjusd will both hold special places in my ❤️! A new chapter begins for me very soon at Menifee Union School District! #lastdayofschool2023

My last 6th grade vs. Staff Kickball game is in the books on this last day of school and end of my principal chapter! It’s been 14 incredible years as a principal and now taking a leap into a new journey! These will be some of the most special moments I will miss! 😭

The last “High Paws Lunch with the Principal” was a blast! If there is one thing kids love, it’s taking selfies with the principal. It means so much to them and they feel special. They are special and that is one simple thing principals can do to show a student that you see them and value them. #birneyproud

We had a beautiful End of Year Staff Potluck where we got to break bread together, share laughs and enjoy one another’s company for one last time! We had a few team members missing today and they were missed, but it truly was a wonderful day! #birneyproud

One of my favorite things I started at Birney years ago, was celebrating students with Birthday Books during their birthday month. They got to choose a book of their choice, received a book mark, a birthday certificate, and a birthday pencil. It has been a highlight for me and our Birney Bears for many years now! I will miss this so much! #birneyproud
